“Urban Jungle” Public Art Installation

The “Urban Jungle” project is a large-scale, site-specific public art installation designed to transform cold, brutalist urban architecture into a vibrant, engaging space. By introducing a massive, biologically inspired inflatable creature onto the facade of a multi-story concrete parking structure, the project creates a striking visual contrast that disrupts the monotony of the daily commute and sparks community conversation.

Design Concept

• Architectural Contrast: The installation juxtaposes the rigid, linear concrete pillars of the parking garage with the fluid, organic curves of a giant lizard.

• The Power of Color: Moving away from standard urban greys, the creature features an intricate pattern of emerald greens, metallic golds, and deep crimson, mimicking the complex beauty of natural scales while remaining highly visible from a distance.

• Dynamic Motion: Instead of a static display, the model is designed to look as if it is actively scaling the building, peeking around the corner to create a sense of life, curiosity, and playfulness within a sterile environment.
