China Sculpture Factory Direct: Inside Y Sculptures’ Manufacturing Facility
Y Sculptures operates one of the largest dedicated sculpture manufacturing facilities in southern China — a 200,000 square foot (18,600 m²) factory located in Huizhou, Guangdong Province. The facility houses seven interconnected production departments under a single roof, enabling seamless material flow from raw stock to finished, crated sculpture ready for international shipment. For more detail on the production and engineering stages, read Custom Sculpture Manufacturing: 7-Step Process Guide.
As a China sculpture factory direct manufacturer, Y Sculptures eliminates middlemen, brokerage fees, and distributor markups that add 30–60% to sculpture costs in traditional supply chains. Every euro or dollar a client spends goes directly into materials, skilled labor, and quality control — not sales commissions or agency overhead.

Production Departments
3D Department: Equipped with structured-light 3D scanners (0.05 mm accuracy), LiDAR scanners, and a farm of SLA and FDM 3D printers producing full-color prototypes up to 2 meters. This is the digital gateway for every project, producing the master files that drive downstream fabrication.
Sculpting Department: Staffed by master sculptors with combined experience exceeding 100 years. Works in clay, wax, foam, and digital media. Large-scale armatures are built with welded steel substructures before clay application for life-size and monumental figures.
Mold Department: Produces silicone molds for FRP and resin casting, rubber molds for bronze investment casting, and fiberglass molds for production runs. Molds are numbered, inventoried, and stored for reorder capability.
Casting Department: Investment casting for bronze (up to 500 kg single pour), FRP hand layup and spray-up for large lightweight sculptures, and polyurethane resin casting for architectural details. our orbital flow stainless steel globe sculpture project
Metal Department: Stainless steel (304, 316L) and carbon steel fabrication with TIG welding, MIG welding, CNC plasma cutting (6 m table), CNC bending, and hand polishing to mirror (#8) finish. Capable of sections up to 8 meters.
Painting Department: Climate-controlled spray booths for automotive-grade paint systems, powder coating, patina application (bronze, verdigris, rust), and protective clear coats. 2K urethane and epoxy systems standard.
Quality Control Department: Final inspection station with CMM (coordinate measuring machine), surface profilometer, adhesion test kit, and color spectrophotometer. Every sculpture receives a QC checklist signed by the inspector before crating. our echoes of antiquity historical figure sculptures project

Production Capacity
Y Sculptures‘ factory operates at a steady throughput of 40–60 custom sculptures per month across all material categories. Single-piece output ranges from tabletop bronzes (30 cm) to monumental stainless steel structures exceeding 20 meters. The facility maintains 6,000 sq ft of finished goods staging area and a dedicated loading dock capable of handling 40 ft containers for direct ship-to-port transfer.
Quality Control
Quality is managed through a documented ISO 9001:2015-compliant system with physical inspection gate checks at five production stages: raw material receipt, mold/tooling approval, pre-finish inspection, final finish audit, and pre-shipment sign-off. Each gate is documented with photographs and measurements stored in the project file.
For Guangdong sculpture manufacturer clients concerned about remote quality management, Y Sculptures offers live video inspection sessions and third-party inspection acceptance (SGS, Bureau Veritas, TÜV Rheinland) at client expense. Virtual Tour Description
From the main entrance, the factory floor opens into the 3D scanning and printing department where digital files become physical masters. To the left, the sculpting studio — 12,000 sq ft of natural-lit workspace with rolling armature stands. Beyond it, the mold shop with climate-controlled silicone curing. The casting hall features two investment kilns and an FRP layup area with ventilation extraction meeting Chinese GB and international OSHA standards.
The metal fabrication wing occupies the eastern third of the factory: eight TIG welding stations, CNC plasma cutter, bending brakes, and a mirror-polishing room. The painting department’s three spray booths maintain positive air pressure and HEPA filtration. The QC lab sits at the shipping end, ensuring nothing leaves without a final sign-off.
Schedule a physical or virtual factory tour by contacting Y Sculptures through the About page. International buyers who have toured the facility consistently report that seeing the scale of operations in person — the overhead cranes, the dedicated QC lab, the climate-controlled paint booths — transforms their confidence in the factory-direct model. We welcome walkthroughs at any stage of project evaluation, from initial inquiry through production.
