Custom F&B Mascot Sculpture——Baozi-Themed Brand IP Commercial Display

IP Sculpture

1. Project Background

In the highly competitive food and beverage industry, brick-and-mortar storefronts require distinct visual anchors to drive organic social media exposure and foot traffic. This project involves the creation of a custom, high-end “Baozi” (steamed bun) themed cartoon mascot sculpture, designed as an effective marketing and commercial display solution for catering brands like the “Lao Xiang Baozi Shop.”

The sculpture perfectly translates the brand’s digital IP into a physical landmark. It captures a soft, plump steamed bun character with realistic rounded headwear folds, wide soulful eyes, rosy cheeks, and a healing smile. Dressed in detailed overalls featuring the brand’s custom logo, this 360-degree flawless sculpture serves as an eye-catching “living billboard” at storefront entrances.

Crafted from thickened, eco-friendly fiberglass (FRP) with seamless hand-polishing and multiple layers of automotive-grade high-gloss baking paint, the sculpture offers excellent color retention and a premium gloss finish. Fully waterproof, UV-resistant, and weatherproof, it stands up to outdoor elements for long-term placement with minimal maintenance. The warm yellow and vibrant orange color palette maximizes visual warmth, instantly attracting passersby, boosting store foot traffic, and enhancing brand retention.

2. Project Timeline

The comprehensive manufacturing and delivery schedule spans approximately 4 to 6 weeks upon contract and design confirmation:

  • Phase 1: Deep Design Alignment & 3D Modeling (5–7 days)

    • Refining the brand IP blueprints, optimizing dimensions for structural balance, mapping custom clothing logos, and finalizing the 3D digital model for client approval.

  • Phase 2: Traditional Clay Sculpting & Mold Engineering (7–10 days)

    • Hand-crafting the physical scale prototype in clay to lock in facial expressions, followed by precision fiberglass production mold fabrication.

  • Phase 3: Structural Fiber Casting & Grinding (7–10 days)

    • Casting with industrial-grade thickened fiberglass material integrated with an anti-corrosive internal steel framework, followed by meticulous seamless surface grinding.

  • Phase 4: Automotive Baking Paint & Finishing (5–7 days)

    • Application of multi-layer high-gloss automotive primer, precision color matching (warm yellow/orange tones), and a premium weather-resistant protective clear topcoat.

  • Phase 5: Packaging & Logistics Dispatch (3–5 days)

    • Shock-absorbing foam wrapping and final packing in export-standard reinforced wooden crates to ensure secure structural transportation.

3. Structural Dimensions

The physical proportions are optimized for standard retail storefront placement, securing high visibility without blocking pedestrian pathways:

  • Total Height: 55.1 inches (approx. 140 cm)

  • Maximum Width: 37.4 inches (approx. 95 cm)

  • Maximum Depth: 33.5 inches (approx. 85 cm)

  • Note: Dimensions can be slightly adjusted during the 3D modeling phase to better align with specific storefront layouts.

4. Financial Budget Estimate

The estimated budget for a single fully-customized mascot sculpture unit is:

  • Estimated Budget Range: $2,500 – $3,800 USD (per unit)

Budget Inclusions:

  • Full 3D digital model optimization and custom pattern/logo replication fees.

  • Industrial-grade thickened fiberglass (FRP) materials and internal galvanized steel reinforcement chassis.

  • Premium UV-resistant automotive baking paint coats and high-gloss weatherproofing treatment.

  • Heavy-duty shockproof wooden crate packaging.

  • Exclusions: International freight logistics fees, destination customs clearance/duties, and local site installation.
