“Helix Ascent” — Brushed Stainless Steel Corporate Lobby Sculpture

Commercial

Your Corporate Lobby Is Your Company’s Handshake — Make It Memorable

Visitors form an impression of your company within seconds of entering your lobby. A generic reception desk and a few framed posters communicate “this is an office.” A 4.5-meter brushed stainless steel helix sculpture communicates “this is an organization that values precision, innovation, and excellence.” The Helix Ascent is designed to make that statement unmistakably.

The double-helix form evokes DNA, innovation, growth, and the infinite possibilities of human achievement. It is equally at home in a financial institution’s marble-clad lobby, a tech company’s minimalist atrium, or a law firm’s traditional reception space.

Design Language: The Helix as a Universal Symbol

The helix is one of the most powerful forms in nature and mathematics — from DNA molecules to spiral galaxies, from the Golden Ratio to architectural marvels. The Helix Ascent captures this universality in brushed stainless steel, creating a sculpture that feels both scientifically rigorous and artistically expressive.

The twin ribbons of the helix appear to rise without visible support, creating a sense of weightlessness that contrasts beautifully with the solidity of the stainless steel. The brushed #4 finish catches light softly, avoiding the harsh reflections of mirror-polished surfaces while maintaining a premium, tactile appearance.

Fabrication Process

Parametric Design

Each Helix Ascent begins with parametric modeling: the client’s ceiling height, lobby dimensions, and desired visual impact determine the optimal height, twist rate, and ribbon width. The design is optimized for the specific sightlines of your lobby.

CNC Fabrication

Each of the 18 segments is CNC plasma-cut from 12mm 304 stainless steel, with weld preparations on segment interfaces. The segments are pre-assembled in our workshop to verify fit, then disassembled for finishing and shipping.

Case Studies

Singapore Fintech HQ

A Fortune 500 fintech company installed a Helix Ascent in their Singapore CBD headquarters. Post-installation: 94% positive feedback from employee survey, featured in a corporate architecture magazine, and referenced in the company’s recruitment materials as an example of workplace quality.

Dubai Banking Center

A major UAE bank commissioned a 6m variant in mirrored stainless steel with cool blue LED lighting. The sculpture serves as the focal point of a 3-story atrium and has been featured in two international interior design awards.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Helix Ascent require special floor reinforcement?

Standard commercial floor slabs (150mm reinforced concrete) are sufficient. Our engineering team will verify your floor loading before installation.

Can the sculpture be relocated if we move offices?

Yes. The modular segment design allows disassembly and reassembly. Relocation costs approximately 30% of original installation cost.

How long does the anti-fingerprint coating last?

The nano-coating is rated for 5 years. Reapplication is a simple 1-hour process performed on-site.

What is the typical timeline?

12 weeks: 2 weeks design, 5 weeks fabrication, 3 weeks finishing, 2 weeks shipping and installation.
