“Lotus Whisper” — FRP Lotus Fountain Water Sculpture

1. Project Background

The Lotus Whisper is a multi-tiered FRP lotus flower fountain sculpture created for a luxury resort’s infinity pool and garden area. The design combines traditional lotus symbolism with modern water feature engineering — water cascades gently from the central pink lotus bud, flows down layered petals, and circulates through an invisible pump system into a surrounding koi pond basin.

• Material: High-density fiberglass (FRP) with UV-resistant gel coat, marine-grade pump system
• Dimensions: 2m height × 3m width (extended petals), 4m basin diameter
• Water system: Submersible pump 1.5 HP, 3,000 L/hr flow rate, LED submersible lighting
• Finish: Multi-layer hand-painted in gradient pink, white, and jade green with gloss clear coat

3. Design Inspiration

The lotus, sacred across Asian cultures, symbolizes purity and rebirth. This sculpture captures a lotus in full bloom with nine layered petals, each hand-carved from FRP molds derived from real lotus specimens. The central bud doubles as a water spout, while hidden channels inside each petal create a gentle sheet-water effect. Night illumination transforms the piece into a glowing lantern.

• Foundation: Level concrete pad 4m × 4m, minimum 15cm thickness
• Electrical: Outdoor-rated GFCI outlet within 3m for pump and lighting
